Privacy Policy
Last updated: 2 July 2026
1. Our Approach — Privacy by Design
Lexi (ailawyer.org.uk) is built to answer your legal questions without collecting personal data. We do not ask you to sign up, create an account, or provide identifying information in order to use the tool.
2. What We Do Not Collect
- We do not require or request your name, email address, phone number, or postal address.
- We do not build user profiles or track you across sessions.
- We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with third parties, because we do not collect it.
3. Conversations
Conversations with Lexi are ephemeral. Your messages are sent to the assistant only to generate a response and are not retained as an identifiable record tied to you. Please avoid entering sensitive personal details (such as full names, case numbers, or financial information) — Lexi does not need them to give general information.
4. Technical Logs
Like most websites, our hosting provider (Cloudflare) may process limited technical information — such as IP address and request metadata — for security, abuse prevention, and to keep the service running. This is standard infrastructure logging and is not used to identify or profile you.
5. Cookies
Lexi does not use advertising or tracking cookies. Any storage used is strictly functional (for example, to make the interface work) and is not used to track you.
6. Third-Party Links
Our guides link to official sources such as GOV.UK, Citizens Advice, and legislation.gov.uk. Those sites have their own privacy policies, which we encourage you to read.
7. Your Rights
Because we do not hold personal data about you, there is generally nothing to access, correct, or delete. If you have any privacy question, you can contact us and we will respond in line with UK data protection law.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be available at this page.
